RHS Level 3 Garden Planning

This is an advanced home study course preparing students to sit the RHS Level 3 Certificate in the Principles of Garden Planning, Construction and Planting. The course is ideal for those wishing to pursue a career in professional horticulture, as well as those already working in this field, and provides a good foundation for higher level study. It is designed for students who are at the start of their horticulture career, wishing to develop their knowledge and skills to the next level. Keen amateurs will also find this a rewarding and informative course. We recommend that students have some previous training or experience, either an RHS Level 2 Certificate or a similar qualification, before embarking on the Level 3 course.

The qualification provides a natural progression from the equivelant level 2 qualification.

At the end of the course you will be awarded a Learning Curve Certificate of Course Completion. You will also be ready to sit the RHS Level 3 Certificate in Garden Planning, Construction and Planting, which you can do at an authorised examination centre in your area. (There is an additional fee for the examinations.) The first exam sittings for this certificate will be in 2011. Your tutor will provide personal support and advice to help you complete your assignments and prepare effectively for the exam. The course normally takes 12 months and comprises 150 hours of study. However the course is designed to be flexible and students have up to three years to complete this course, allowing them to work through the modules at their own pace.
