RHS Level 2 Garden Planning

This is an in-depth 6-module home study course providing a comprehensive introduction to the principles of garden planning, establishment and maintenance. An ideal starting point for students considering a career in Garden Design, the course leads to a widely recognised level 2 certificate. This is also an excellent choice for the keen amateur gardener who would like to learn more about garden planning and maintenance, fruit and vegetable growing and protected growing.

Includes all required study material and full tutorial support. The course material also includes a range of supplementary study booklets, including ‘Introduction to Presentation Tools’ and ‘Measuring Gardens’, as well as revision guides.

At the end of the course you will be awarded a Learning Curve Certificate of Course Completion. You will also be ready to sit the RHS Certificate in Principles of Garden Planning, Establishment and Maintenance, which you can do at an authorised examination centre in your area. (There is an additional fee for the examination.) Your tutor will provide personal support and advice to help you complete your assignments and prepare effectively for the exam.

Students have up to three years to complete this course, allowing them to work through the modules at their own pace. On average, however, it takes students around 8 – 12 months to complete the course, based on 3 – 5 hours study time per week.
